Three of business aviation's leading companies have taken part in the industry's most exciting sporting battle this year, the Aviation Polo Challenge, at Hurtwood Park Polo Country Club in Surrey.
The round-robin tournament, which took place on Saturday 12 September 2015, featured three pro-am matches between the UK's leading business jet charter operator London Executive Aviation (LEA), airport and airline operator Stobart Air, and Signature Flight Support, the world's largest network of fixed base operators.
LEA celebrated a triumphant win at this year's event, which also raised more than £5,000 for youth charity The Prince's Trust and was attended by one of The Trust's Ambassadors, Helene Speight, a finalist in BBC 1's The Apprentice.
LEA managing director George Galanopoulos says: “We are, of course, delighted, to have won! The teams from Stobart Air and Signature played fantastically well and we are really grateful for their continued support of this fine event, which brings together great sporting action, entertainment and wonderful company from the business aviation community.
“We would also like to thank the event sponsor Bombardier Business Aircraft and all our guests who spurred on the teams and made the day so enjoyable and worthwhile.”
The winner's trophy was presented by Marc Ghaly, sales director, Bombardier Business Aircraft. The polo matches were followed by an Argentinean Asado BBQ and live music in the evening.
