This October the German executive jet company Silver Bird has launched another Learjet 45XR with the registration "D-CNMB", with flights to international destinations. The legendary Learjet can carry up to eight passengers nonstop from Moscow to Paris for instance or with just one stopover from Rome or London to Dubai. With a maximum non-stop cruising range of 3 650 km (1 970 nm) on average or around four flying hours all destinations within Europe can be reached without a stopover. "What we would like to achieve first and foremost with the new Learjet 45 is to further satisfy the needs of our business travellers for a greater cruising range and speed", to quote the Managing Director Peter Döllner. With a maximum speed of 860 km/h (535 mph) the Learjet 40/45 family is known for dynamics and speed.
However passengers do not have to forgo comfort either. Quite the opposite in fact: The fast jet has been completely refitted by the manufacturer: generous, cognac-coloured club armchairs, arranged in two conference areas, satellite phone, Airshow, CD/DVD, a microwave as well as a separate washroom amenity make flights as pleasant and comfortable as at all possible. If required flight a flight attendant can also be provided for in-flight. An auxiliary power unit (APU) ensures pleasant temperatures even as you board the plane, among other additional features. "As demand from our clientele for the Learjet 40/45 is very great, we will be taking delivery of another third Learjet 40 in the next few weeks", says Döllner with pride. And expansion of the fleet is continuing: In 2009 the aviation company is expecting a Gulfstream G450 as well as a Gulfstream G550.
