First operator worldwide for the Embraer Lineage 1000 aircraft

Prestige Jet, the fastest growing regional private jet operator, is set to break the record once again when its pilots return later this year from their simulator training to put the world's very first Embraer Lineage 1000 aircraft in the skies. The two senior Captains have been dispatched to Switzerland, for their 45 days simulator and operational training and will be carrying the aircraft's first business passengers in the world when the plane goes into action November 15 this year.

"Our crew will make history when they fly the first Embraer Lineage 1000 aircraft, carrying its first passengers," says Faris Deeb, Managing Director of Prestige Jet.

Captain Gerald Dolan, Director of Flight Operations, one of the first two pilots to fly this groundbreaking aircraft explains: "Fitted with highly intuitive avionics suite, the Lineage 1000 comprises state-of-the art platforms that simplify procedures and improve safety in all weather conditions. We are extremely excited to receive this all-new, sophisticated aircraft and, more so, proud to be the first in the world to carry passengers on its first business flight."

The Lineage 1000, Embraer's ultra-large executive jet, is three times the size of business jets and is considered the largest designated business jet aside from the Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) and Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ). The aircraft accommodates 19 passengers and has five distinct privacy zones which can be designed in a variety of different configurations of ultimate comfort and luxury, affording plentiful room for work, rest and meetings.

"The Embraer Lineage 1000 aircraft rivals ultra-large jets and even surpasses some of them in space per passenger," explains Faris Deeb. "Combined with Prestige Jet's own unparalleled pre-flight and on-the-ground services, the new Lineage offers a premium travel experience with its spaciousness, comfort, luxury and high-end technology," he adds.

The aircraft, which is being managed by Prestige Jet, was fitted out in the USA with a custom-selected interior designed to offer the ultimate airborne comfort and elegance for discerning travellers.

Configuration of the Prestige Jet's aircraft will see result in great versatility for passengers and will include a private/meeting room and divans with berthing capacity. Another important aspect of the aircraft is its huge baggage capacity of some 615 cubic feet (17.4 cubic meters)," he adds. A large, pressurised aft walk-in baggage area, which is conveniently accessible during flight, is more than twice the size of baggage compartments in competitive jets. Amenities aboard include Wi-Fi technology, internet access, ethernet and other features.

Prestige Jet expects the greatest demand for this unique aircraft to come from customers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Russia, the latter being a market of growing potential for the airline .

Deeb says the Lineage 1000 is another important step in Prestige Jet's drive to remain a dynamic, flexible operation whose young, mixed fleet allows for greater customer availability of aircraft and optimum operational effectiveness.
