Issued by Honeywell Aerospace.
May 18, 2015
Gogo Inc., a leading provider of in-flight connectivity and entertainment solutions to the global aero market, will soon add a new suite of services from Honeywell's Global Data Center (GDC) to its business aviation portfolio. The program will expand Gogo's capabilities as a complete, “nose-to-tail” communications provider in the business aviation market.
Expanding Gogo's service offering to include Honeywell's GDC services will provide its customers the convenience of single-source activation, support and unified monthly billing. The additional Honeywell services include Inmarsat Classic Aero (voice and data services) along with a variety of flight planning, datalink, graphical cockpit and weather information, flight following and concierge services.
Gogo is unique in that it offers one of the business aviation market's widest selections of in-flight voice and data services, which now include Gogo Biz, SwiftBroadband, Classic Aero, Swift64 and Iridium, in addition to terrestrial 3G/4G service.
Today's announcement is part of a larger initiative at Gogo Business Aviation as the company continues to expand its monthly voice and data airtime services. The company offers a full range of easy-to-understand plans along with a suite of tools and support services that help customers monitor and manage their monthly usage. Special discounts are offered for bundled services and customers that operate multiple aircraft.
John Wade, Gogo Business Aviation's executive vice president and general manager, said, “Airtime and support services are an important and rapidly-expanding part of our business. Today's announcement will expand the services available to our customers and provide the convenience of a single point of contact for activations, support and monthly billing.”
Michael Edmonds, vice president, marketing and product management, Honeywell Aerospace, added, “Gogo's collaboration with Honeywell will bring valuable flight services directly to aircraft owners, operators, and pilots. When combined with global connectivity, these services enable around-the-clock communication, route optimization, and crew productivity that save time and money.”
Gogo offers business aircraft operators a wide range of equipment, monthly service and support for in-flight connectivity and entertainment services. As technology continues to advance, business aircraft operators are increasingly employing multiple integrated services aboard a single aircraft to meet their needs.
Availability of Gogo's expanded cockpit and datalink services from Honeywell's GDC is expected to begin later this year.
