Press Release
Issued by Global Jet.
May 15, 2015
In 2000, when Global Jet's founders started the company, they could only dream of the success their project would reach. Fifteen years later, Global Jet is the largest wide-body and Bombardier Global operator in the world and is proudly part of the leading firms in the industry.
“We have been able to implement our business model and to make it successful. We never lowered our quality standards and we stayed true to our core values: safety, quality, integrity, passion and edication”, states Bjorn Naberhuis, vice president for business development.
During the past few years, and with the same strategy, Global Jet has focused on developing its activities in Asia. The company is now the first European operator to have obtained a Chinese AOC, through its joint-venture with the Jinggong Group, one of the key players in China. The first commercial flights should be performed by the end of summer.
“We now have two commercial representation offices in Asia: Beijing and Hong Kong. We have created Jinggong Global Jet Co, Ltd. This new entity is based in Hangzhou, employs nearly 30 people already and will be in charge of our future commercial Chinese flights”, explains David Mezenen, business development director Asia/Pacific.
“So far, we are operating successfully six private aircraft in this part of the world: a Falcon 2000, a G450, a Falcon 7X, a Global Express, a Global 6000 and an Airbus ACJ319. Another Airbus ACJ319 should be entering our fleet very soon.”
For this edition of EBACE, in addition to its booth and to celebrate its 15th anniversary, Global Jet has decided to welcome its guests to its Geneva headquarters and surprise them with several events during the show.
“We want customers to see how our office runs. It will be about being transparent and opening our doors to our close contacts: our loyal clients, jet operators, manufacturers, brokers and suppliers. Day after day, they believe in us and it's the perfect opportunity to show them how we achieve our quality of service and thank them for their support and trust over the last fifteen years.” unveils Héloïse Converset, marketing executive.
“This EBACE, we are also really lucky to have great partners accompanying us. We look forward to celebrating this milestone with our guests.”
Since January, Global Jet has welcomed great aircraft into its fleet, foe both private use and charter: a Global 5000, a commercial Challenger 605 based in Farnborough and a commercial Citation CJ4 based in Le Bourget.
The operator has also been selected to manage one of the first Gulfstream G650s on the market. It's the first of its kind for Global Jet, but not the last as several projects will materialize in the near future.
One of the Global Expresses, 100% available for charter, has been through extensive maintenance and was entirely refurbished. Its entertainment system is now brand-new and boasts the latest, state-of the art equipment from Honeywell. They installed an Ovation cabin management system which enhances the flying experience, offers improved efficiency, entertainment and comfort.
Geneva-based E&G Creation manufactured aesthetic screen covers, sideledges to integrate the new control units, and developed a brand-new entertainment cabinet to fit this improved system.
The cabin also underwent major changes done by Grupo Tysac:
• Full carpet replacement, including under-carpet replacement.
• Modification of the divan upholstery, refurbishing the cushions with new fabric and new design
• Modification of the puff upholstery replacing fabric for leather and a new design. This product is thus back on the market and ready to fly for Global Jet's customers. The company is also proud to announce the arrival within its fleet of a brand-new Airbus ACJ319 fitted with an exclusive Pegasus Design interior and a state-of- the-art technology system. This aircraft confirms Global Jet as the worldwide leading operator of private airliners, with eight Airbuses and five Boeings in management.
With 70 aircraft in management, over 500 employees worldwide and offices in nearly a dozen cities, Global Jet is ready for many more years to come.
