May 14, 2015
In order to cater for increased traffic, TAG Farnborough Airport has built a second entrance to the site to be exclusively used by passengers and crew. The new entrance enabling even swifter access to and from to the airport will open on 1 June 2015. As part of the ongoing investment in infrastructure development, TAG Farnborough Airport is also upgrading its award-winning terminal building with additional lounge space for passengers and enhanced crew facilities, including a gymnasium. TAG Farnborough Airport already offers a wide range of amenities including concierge service, direct ramp access for customers wanting to drive up to waiting jets, a crew room with ‘snooze’ facilities, and The Aviator Hotel (also part of the TAG Group) located on-site. “We receive feedback from our customers on a regular basis which enables us to identify ways to better serve them. The ongoing investment in our facilities underpins our commitment to further improving the airport experience for passengers and crew”, added Brandon O’Reilly, ceo TAG Farnborough Airport.
TAG Farnborough Airport is a growing business aviation airport serving customers from around the world. In the first quarter of 2015, the air traffic movement growth was 6.5% with the highest number of movements in January since 2008. Additionally, the airport is receiving more airliner-derived (50-80 tons maximum take-off weight) business jets with a notable 27% increase in aircraft movements in the first quarter of 2015 (compared to the same period in 2014). The aircraft movements in this category were the highest on record for any February or March at Farnborough. Many of these aircraft arrive from Asia, the Middle East and the US. TAG Farnborough Airport is well positioned to take advantage of the ongoing increasing demand and continues to invest in its infrastructure development to accommodate larger groups of passengers and crew.
TAG Farnborough Airport will be exhibiting at EBACE from the TAG stand #Z050, Hall 6, PALEXPO, Geneva, Switzerland from 19-21 May 2015.
