P.T. ExecuJet Indonesia, a joint venture between ExecuJet Aviation Group and P.T. Dimitri Utama Abadi, has begun operations at a new purpose-built vip terminal at Bali International Airport.
Designed and constructed by Angkasa Pura 1, the new 3,000 sqm general aviation terminal includes a dedicated vip area for domestic and international passengers, as well as meeting rooms and a business centre. ExecuJet was previously operating at the airport from a temporary facility. A 65,900 sqm apron has been built adjacent to the new terminal, designed to handle all aircraft types.
Gary Forster, Bali FBO manager, ExecuJet, says: “There has been strong demand for aircraft handling services since we began operating in Bali in October 2013 and we are seeing a new trend for larger vip aircraft and specialised charters. We now directly handle 30% of all vip movements in Bali. As it is such a popular destination for tourism, events and conferences, as well as being a good tech stop location, we expect the number of movements to rise even further this year.”
The Bali facility was the first terminal to be opened following the signing of a memorandum of cooperation in June 2012 for ExecuJet to exclusively design, construct and manage GA terminals at up to 13 airports managed by state-owned Indonesian aviation company Angkasa Pura 1.
P.T. Dimitri Utama Abadi is a private company formed to serve as the Indonesian partner for the joint venture P.T. ExecuJet Indonesia.
