February 4, 2015
Global business jet sales and acquisition specialists, JetBrokers, have enjoyed a flying start to 2015 with five sales completed within January.
With sales of a Beechjet 400A, an Astra, a Lear 45, a Citation XLS+ and a Challenger 604 during January, following on a strong end to 2014, the JetBrokers' team are now busy seeking new listings with even more urgency.
An inventory of 22 aircraft remains for sale covering the full range of manufacturers from a Socata TBM700B through to a Gulfstream G450 but this is around half of the number that is more typically available from the JetBrokers team.
Tom Crowell Jr, president of JetBrokers commented, “Sales over recent months have been very encouraging but it does create further challenges in finding other sale opportunities to replace those that have sold. We have numerous discussions underway with prospective sellers but, understandably, it's not unusual for the decision process to take weeks or months. We've a few other deals pending, so I'm hopeful that February will continue to be equally encouraging.”
JetBrokers recently refreshed their corporate identity and at the same time the JetBrokers Europe team consolidated their operations so that there was a single identity, JetBrokers, across the globe.
“There has been a positive response to these changes and it's good to have a single identity for people to relate to, wherever they are in the world,” added Tom.
JetBrokers regional md, Tim Barber, commented, “This is by far the best start to a year that we have seen since we launched JetBrokers Europe at the end of 2009. With the single identity of JetBrokers now established, our ability to support owners and buyers across the globe is undoubtedly enhanced. We've been used to having a combined inventory in excess of 40, so it is a little odd to see it at its current level but that will hopefully offer further reassurance to our prospective clients that they will have even more of our sizeable resources at their disposal.”
Barber also added, “The market has seen steady growth over the past few years but we are still a lifetime away from the heady days of 2006 and 2007. Just about every broker reports that deals continue to take a long time to conclude but I find myself telling prospective buyers that they have left it too late and that we have a deal pending on the aircraft. That has to be a positive barometer!”
Crowell concluded, “We usually have a few acquisition projects underway at any one point in time and this side of the business is also keeping us very busy. However, we are always looking out for further opportunities.”
