Titan Airways takes delivery of new Airbus A320

UK charter and airline sub-charter specialist, Titan Airways, has taken delivery of the first of two additional Airbus A320 airliners.

The three year young A320-200, registered G-POWK, arrived at the carrier's London Stansted base on Monday 26th January fresh from the paint shop. Air Livery, Manchester, were responsible for the application of Titan's new livery, a design rolled out for the first time at the end of last year. The new look, featuring the airline's signature black, silver and orange colour palette, is a more streamlined version of the previous livery design.

With the arrival of G-POWK, Titan Airways' fleet now comprises two Airbus A320s, a Boeing 767, 2 Boeing 757s, three Boeing B737s and a Cessna Citation CJ2+. The carrier will take delivery of a third Airbus A320 in the spring and intends to add further Airbus types in the next 12 months.

Alastair Kiernan, Titan Airways commercial director, explains: “We are currently in a process of fleet renewal and we believe the Airbus product is the way forward for us. The aircraft are economical to operate, and provide our customers with a modern, bright and comfortable cabin space.”

The new arrival will be available in 12 business and 138 standard seats from mid February. It will be reconfigured to 168 seats, including 13 rows which convert from six abreast to four abreast, in April.

Based at London Stansted, G-POWK will be available for ad hoc charter requirements including rapid-response airline sub-charter, corporate events, music and film industry needs, private engagements, tour operator requests and cruise charter flights.
