As a UK and Ireland distributor for the Robinson Helicopter Company, Sloane is pleased to announce that on November 15th 2014, the FAA approved Robinson's pop-out float option for the R66 helicopter. This option is named the “R66 Turbine Marine”.

The R66 pop-out float system is comparable to that of the R44 Clipper, and similarly offers an additional level of safety for over-water operations. When not in use, the floats stow in protective covers along the skids, permitting easy cabin access. The pop-out floats are activated by a lever on the pilot's console and inflate within two to three seconds, allowing for an immediate water landing.

The R66 Turbine Marine has also been approved by the FAA for water takeoffs at reduced weights, making it ideal for water operations training.

The base price for an R66 Turbine Marine helicopter is $875,000.
