Jet Aviation Basel recently received ISO 14001 certification in recognition of its continuous improvement programs and OHSAS 18001 certification for the quality of its management systems regarding health and safety risks.
Developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the ISO 14001 standard includes the main criteria for an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). The internationally accepted Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001 certification designates organizational commitment to controlling and reducing accidents in the workplace. An independent audit recently confirmed Jet Aviation Basel's compliance with these standards.
“Our ultimate objective is to get our clients to their destinations safely,” said Johannes Turzer, vice president and general manager of the maintenance center at Jet Aviation Basel. “In doing so, we also have a fundamental responsibility to protect the environment and provide a healthy and safe working environment for our employees and visitors.”
“These certifications demonstrate Jet Aviation Basel's commitment to the highest service standards,” added Neil Boyle, vice president and general manager of the Jet Aviation Basel completions center. “We continuously strive to deliver and implement systems, processes and procedures that support health and safety requisites while minimizing environmental impacts.”
