Falcon Aviation Services has signed a new deal with Dubai World Central (DWC) to open the region's first vvip aircraft completion center at the world's first purpose-built aerotropolis. The new Falcon Aviation Services wide body Code F hangar facility will be constructed at DWC's Aviation District. This facility can handle Boeing 747-800 aircraft and bigger, including head of state aircraft.
The agreement was signed by Capt. Mahmoud Ismael, chief operating officer of Falcon Aviation Services and Mr. Rashed Bu Qara'a, the chief operating officer of Dubai Aviation City Corporation, at the Abu Dhabi Air Expo 2014, in the presence of HH Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, member of the executive council of the emirate of Abu Dhabi and chairman of Falcon Aviation Services.
A leading vvip jet and helicopter service provider, Falcon Aviation Services already operates an aircraft maintenance, management, mro and service center at Al Bateen Executive Airport, the premier vip airport in Abu Dhabi. It also operates a part 145 maintenance facility with GCAA and EASA approvals providing in-house and third party maintenance. Falcon is also an approved CAMO organization, providing customized aircraft management agreements tailored to customer requirements.
The new facility at DWC, offering enhanced and customized services to its vvip customers, could begin construction by the summer and be completed by the end of 2015.
Rashed Bu Qara'a said the agreement with Falcon conforms with the vision of the Dubai government to build world-class facilities that can cater to the growing demand of the regional aviation sector.
"The opening of Falcon's facility at DWC will enable us to offer more efficient and bespoke services to our elite customers. The Aviation District is an integrated platform supported by world class infrastructure to provide excellent support for general aviation, aircraft manufacturing component fabrication, MROs, training, and other aviation-related businesses," he noted.
Captain Ismael expressed delight at the strategic partnership with DWC for the establishment of its world-class vvip aircraft completion center in the Middle East.
Also an approved Embraer and Eurocopter service center, Falcon operates a fleet of vvip jet aircrafts along with Bell 412 helicopters, serving the offshore oil and gas sector. It also provides vip helicopter charters and tours within the UAE.
"We share many common aspirations with DWC and to harness the growing potential of the regional aviation sector is one of them. This will also enable us to position the UAE's aerospace industry on the forefront of the global map," he added.
