TAG Aviation's maintenance centre in Geneva has signed its first order to retrofit a Falcon 2000 aircraft with a Pro Line 21 avionics upgrade for 2015.
As a Dassault Authorised Service Centre (ASC), TAG Aviation is set to install a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics system on the Falcon 2000, making the aircraft compliant with current and new regulatory requirements. In 2013, TAG Aviation upgraded Falcon 50EX aircraft with the enhanced avionics system. Pro Line 21 is an integrated avionics system with four advanced, configurable 10 x 8 inch LCD displays that are capable of displaying high-resolution electronic charts, graphical weather and enhanced navigation maps. This ensures improved reliability, performance as well as situational awareness and confidence in low-visibility conditions. In addition to a higher level of operational efficiency and convenience, the new LCD displays provide a path to paperless flight decks. The avionics upgrade also features new capabilities such as solid-state geophysical sensors, digital autopilot as well as an all-digital communications, navigation and surveillance system (CNS). “Our focus is to make sure that our clients' aircraft operate at the highest quality and safety standards,” said Philippe Rabier, TAG Aviation's maintenance sales director. “The improved Pro Line 21 avionics system brings new capabilities that further enhance operational safety and efficiency, in compliance with new airspace regulations.” TAG Aviation's heavy maintenance centres in Geneva (Switzerland) and Farnborough (United Kingdom) have been Dassault ASCs since 1988 and 2006 respectively. Both centres offer four core services: airframes, avionics, troubleshooting and ramp services. In addition to offering base- and line-maintenance services for Dassault aircraft, TAG Aviation has certification to work on over sixty types of aircraft. Its maintenance centre network includes ten specialist workshops, offering services such as paint shop, interior refurbishment and non-destructive testing.
