Jetex and JHSF announce preliminary commercial agreement at Brazil's Catarina Executive Airport

Jetex, a global ground handling and trip planning company, and JHSF, a leading Brazilian real estate company, have announced the signing of a preliminary commercial agreement for the establishment of a new Jetex operations center at Catarina Executive Airport – Brazil's first dedicated business aviation airport.

Announced in the second half of 2013, the currently in development Catarina Executive Airport will meet both the international and domestic demands of Brazil's growing business aviation sector. Designed “from scratch", the airport will provide users with state-of-the-art facilities and operations, making full use of the latest technology and reflecting the current thinking of the industry. The airport is expected to open for business in the first half of 2016.

Catarina Executive Airport will boast world-class FBO's, support for long-range executive aircraft, maintenance workshops and dedicated space for the movement, parking and overnight parking of both based and in-transit aircraft. The airport will also facilitate helicopter operations, providing rapid connection to São Paulo.

“The decision to enter the growing Brazilian market was based first and foremost on feedback from current Jetex customers, who voiced a need for the specialized services the firm offers in this emerging market, especially since we recently opened our trip planning operations center in Miami, FL, USA,” says ceo of Jetex Flight Support Mr. Adel Mardini.

Considering the growth and development in the South American business aviation market, Jetex sees the Catarina Executive Airport initiative not only as one of the most comprehensive in Brazil, but as an opportunity to grow and expand its global network and provide customers with a direct connection to its operations team.

"Initiating a preliminary commercial agreement while the airport is still in its development phase allows JHSF to assure customers from the start that Catarina Executive Airport offers an effective and differentiated service for Brazil's growing business aviation market," says JHSF airport business unit chief executive officer Rogério Lacerda.

Jetex will offer its full range of support services, including trip planning, handling, permissions, catering and logistics, transport, flight plans and fuel. The new operations base will be staffed with bilingual flight support specialists offering world-class customer service.

The opening of the Catarina Executive Airport office is the second step in Jetex's strategy for the Americas which follows the company's newly launched operations center in Miami.
