Ameco Beijing is looking to attract more customers by expanding its VIP and business jet completion capabilities.
"We have our own designers, engineers and interior manufacture shop. It is no problem for us to get the CAAC Modification Design Approval," said Fengbin, the head of VIP and Business Jet Services. "In addition, we are developing capabilities for EASA Supplemental Type Certificate," Feng added.
In the beginning of 2012, Ameco Beijing promoted its VIP and business jets completion capabilities by resources integration and facility investment. In last September, the cabin interior manufacture workshop for business jets was put into use, and in the same year, Ameco Beijing signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Greenpoint Technologies, a Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) Completion Center from USA, for cooperation of commercial and VIP private business aircraft completions.
Currently, Ameco's capabilities on VIP and business jets cover all processes from design, engineering, certification to installation while the products involve entire gamut of modifications and maintenance.
"Currently speaking, China and the Middle East are two of the largest markets of VIP and business jets completion in the world, especially for the BBJ and Airbus Corporate Jet. Around half of workload on narrow body aircraft completion, such as Boeing 737 and Airbus A320, is in China while the Middle East market makes great contribution for the wide body aircraft completion such as Boeing 747-8, B777 and Airbus A330," said Feng.
Considering on Ameco's product development, the Beijing-based MRO provider will first explore the Chinese completion market and pay attention to the development of the Middle East. "For the Middle East market, we can expand our maintenance services to VIP and Business Jets to understand the demand of customers in this area," said Feng.
Ameco has been providing line maintenance, airframe overhaul and modifications for the carriers in the Middle East for many years. For example, Ameco is providing line maintenance for carriers from United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Turkish.
Ameco Beijing mainly offers completions for Chinese flag carrier Air China and government. With the improvement of completion capabilities, Ameco Beijing is expected to expand its customer in the Middle East private aviation market in the near future.
