New Queenstown FBO opens

The new FBO/corporate jet terminal at Queenstown airport is now open for business and operating as Queenstown Corporate Jet Services. The new facility is a joint venture, owned and operated by Air Center One and Capital Jet Services and is the only FBO on Queenstown Airport (NZQN).

The Hon Bill English Deputy Prime Minister of NZ officially opened the facility on 9 May 2014. The opening function was attended by a wide group of clients, local dignitaries, hotel and travel industry leaders, local service providors, Queenstown Airport Company executives and media representatives.

All Customs, Immigration and Quarantine clearances for Queenstown Corporate Jet clients will be carried out discretely in the new facility.

The FBO has been constructed in vertical cedar timber in keeping with the local Queenstown alpine theme and features an x-ray machine for rapid non invasive baggage inspections, a private air conditioned lounge with complimentary refreshments and magnificent views across the ramp to the Remarkables Mountain range.

Local art work from Toi O Tahuna and a beautiful Greenstone touch stone carved by renowned NZ jade sculptor Rob Lynes compliment the interior which is screened from public view to give maxium privacy to arriving and departing crew and passengers.
