TAG Aviation to receive EASA Part-21 Design Organisation Approval

TAG Aviation announced today that it has been granted EASA Part-21 Subject J Design Organisation Approval (DOA). TAG Aviation's maintenance centre in Geneva is now entitled to design, certify and approve aircraft modifications and repairs in accordance with regulatory requirements and client needs.

TAG Aviation Geneva maintenance centre has received EASA approval to design and issue instructions for modification and repair solutions on small and large business aircraft. The scope of approval encompasses cabin interior, galleys, avionics as well as secondary structures. This enables TAG Aviation to address specific client requests related to cabin upgrade or refurbishment as well as avionics upgrade - including Satcom upgrade for Swift Broadband and Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications (CDPLC). TAG Aviation will also be able to handle supplemental type certificates (STC) for more extensive modifications.

"The Part 21 approval permits TAG Aviation to meet specific client needs with better reactivity but also with in-house experts to define the most suitable solutions for clients," said Guillaume Perez, TAG Aviation's design organisation manager. "It underpins our strong knowledge of EASA requirements in terms of certifications and complements the level of expertise we offer our aircraft management, maintenance and CAMO clients."

Part-21 DOA will work alongside and complements TAG Aviation's Part-21 Production Organisation Approval (POA) for cabin interiors. In January 2014, TAG Aviation, as a main shareholder, acquired the whole capital of Burnet Interiors - a company based at Geneva Airport, which has specialised in aircraft cabin refurbishment and modification for almost 50 years. TAG Aviation is now able to offer its clients the highest standard and quality in cabin renovation and refurbishment with an experienced team on-site.

“At TAG Aviation, we are committed to the highest quality and safety standards. We are able to deliver a full range of maintenance solutions, holding our position as the leading one-stop-shop for aircraft maintenance," added Perez

TAG Aviation provides comprehensive maintenance and engineering services in six locations (Geneva, Sion, Farnborough, Madrid, Paris and Lomé) and has certification to work on over sixty type of aircraft. TAG Aviation offers four core services - airframes, avionics, troubleshooting and ramp services - and ten specialist workshops, with services such as paint shop, interior refurbishment and logistics.
