Private aviation services provider Rizon Jet UK is celebrating three years of consistent growth at its award-winning FBO and MRO facility based at London's Biggin Hill Airport. A core team headed by chief executive Allan McGreal will be exhibiting at EBACE 2014 next week to promote the £28m integrated full service facility which he believes is without comparison.
Rizon Jet UK has hosted close to 10,000 passengers and sold around three million litres of fuel since it opened in March 2011. McGreal believes this impressive growth in a difficult market, coupled with industry accolades, have set a precedent for a new style of FBO where passengers are tempted to spend more of their time. Compared with the industry standard of less than five minutes, Rizon Jet UK's passengers spend an average of nearly 28 minutes in the lavishly-equipped FBO.
Referencing recent comments made by Fabio Gamba, chief executive of the EBAA http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/ebace-what-now-for-europe39s-troubled-business-aviation-398584/ , McGreal agrees that now is the time for business aviation to reposition itself to attract a new market.
“The service sector has got to come out of the shadow of the OEM's impressive investment strategies in new aircraft. We must invest in our facilities so they match the inflight experience, which is exactly what we have done, with the backing of our investor, at Rizon Jet UK. We put less emphasis on time and more on the creation of a value added, wholly productive experience,” says McGreal.
“We must do more to persuade people that flying by business aircraft is one of the most discerning, rewarding, productive and cost-effective choices the modern traveller can make. But we can't do this if there are 'below par' providers sabotaging any progress made in convincing owners that the business aviation service offering is significantly better than the premium products offered by scheduled carriers.”
Equipped with all the business tools necessary to deliver essential FBO services, the London Biggin Hill facility can accommodate major corporate M&A teams, conferencing, private meetings and major product launches, together with a host of aircraft broker and sales platforms available to showcase aircraft and product. All are available to the passenger, operator, owner or broker.
The full suite of business tools, from private floors with boardroom and adjoining office, comfortable set aside lounges and dedicated offices, means the modern-day company chief can execute business meetings both before departure and afterwards on return from travel if required.
Rizon Jet UK's chief executive Allan McGreal will be at EBACE along with Linda Parry, head of customer services, Claire Brown, business manager, Chris Bannister, financial director, and Tracy Gates, operations manager. The team will be at Stand 4634 in Hall 6.
