Gogo Inc., announces that its business aviation group, Aircell, has appointed Shuaib Shahid to the position of manager, service sales.
In his new position, Shuaib is responsible for developing the company's Inmarsat-based service initiatives in the global business aviation market, including the new SwiftBroadband airtime programs being unveiled today. He reports to Andy Geist, Aircell's senior vice president, business aviation solutions, and is based in London.
John Wade, Aircell's executive vice president and general manager, said, “We're pleased to welcome Shuaib to our team – his knowledge and expertise will be of great value to our business aviation customers, particularly those in the European region.”
Prior to joining Aircell, Shuaib held technical and sales positions of increasing responsibility in the aeronautical and telecommunications sectors. Deeply experienced with in-flight connectivity services and the worldwide business aviation market, he spent several years with Inmarsat plc in London. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Space Mission Analysis and Design, and a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (with honors) in Avionics; both from the University of Glasgow.
