EASA STC for three-blade propeller on Beech Duchess 76

MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has recently received EASA STC #10048838 for the next generation three-blade scimitar composite propeller MTV-12-B-C-F/CF(L)183-59b on the Beech Duchess 76 powered by Lycoming (L)(I)O-360-( ) engines and other TC/STC approved piston engines which do not exceed the propeller TCDS.

The FAA STC is currently in progress.

The propeller installation:

- provides best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operations

- has bonded on stainless steel leading edge for best erosion protection of the blades

- has 10 kg (22 lbs) weight reduction per propeller compared with the original propellers

- provides enhanced cruise performance by 2 to 3 kts (MTOW, ISA)

- has unlimited blade life; FOD repairable blades

- provides significant inside and outside noise reduction

- has an improved take-off and climb performance

MT-Propeller is the world leading natural composite propeller manufacturer with 30 propeller models from two-blade to six-blade hydraulically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 5000hp, and two-blade to four-blade electrically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 350hp as well as two blade fixed pitch propellers.

Over 30 years ago, the first MT-Propeller was shipped.

The high performance, light weight and durable MT propellers can be used on aircraft with piston engines and propeller turbines, as well as on airships, wind tunnels or hovercraft. Fulfilling the highest certifications requirements they are also supplemental type certified on Part 25 aircrafts.
