PACTEC chooses SkyTrac Systems for flight following and SATCOM solutions

SkyTrac Systems is pleased to announce it has been selected by Partners in Aviation and Communications Technology (PACTEC) to provide Satellite Communication Technology and Flight Following services. PACTEC flight operations assist with emergency relief, medical evacuations, and development project transportation in hostile and remote conditions. By utilizing SkyTrac's flight following and SatCom solutions, PACTEC is able to increase the safety and efficiency of their operations.

PACTEC provides services in areas where security situations can change rapidly. When an airport or remote airstrip becomes an unsafe destination, PACTEC has relied on VHF and HF radios to communicate this information between aircraft and ground. This method has proved to be ineffective for them putting their crew, humanitarian workers, and those they served at risk. Kelly Green, Aviation Manager of the Afghanistan Program with PACTEC International, commented: "It is critical that the ground crew and pilots are able to effectively communicate at all times. SkyTrac facilitates effective communication which increases the safety of our operations as well as the security of all parties involved."

Green added: "When selecting a SatCom and Flight Following provider we completed an in-depth study of all the systems available. SkyTrac was selected because of their ability to combine superior customer service, quality hardware, and complete software solutions. Also of critical importance to us was SkyTrac's aviation background and their ability to identify and understand our specific needs."

Kathleen Wallace, President and CEO of SkyTrac Systems said; "In remote and hostile conditions, SkyTrac's Iridium based flight following and SatCom solutions increase the safety of the flight crew by ensuring reliable delivery of critical information. We are proud to serve clients such as PACTEC who have a deep commitment to provide humanitarian services worldwide."
