Flight Display Systems provides AvVisor® Replacement unit

Flight Display Systems has introduced a drop-in replacement for the Teledyne AvVisor® moving map. The AvVisor is no longer supported, so aircraft owners must install a different system. The Flight Display Systems solution is a 9" Widescreen LCD display that drops into the same cutout. The World Wide Moving Map functionality will be provided by the next generation JetJukebox.

“This is a great way to introduce aircraft owners to our JetJukebox ecosystem.” said David Gray, President of Flight Display Systems “They replace the obsolete AvVisor with a beautiful new HD display and get the leading edge JetJukebox with all of its added functionality.”

JetJukebox is a core platform that enables a variety of functionality via Wi-Fi. It acts as the smart hub for the Smart Cabin CMS. It allows passengers to control lights, video, music and more with just about any personal electronic device.

The JetJukebox, along with a Wi-Fi router, creates a local area network within an aircraft cabin. The device will stream movies, music, or images via Wi-Fi to as many as eight passengers. Additionally, the JetJukebox streams the Flight Display Systems World Wide Moving Map. Content is easily accessed through a user-friendly interface. The interface is accessible through a browser. No app required.

JetJukebox is not only designed for entertainment, business users can benefit as well. Corporate content can be loaded and presented to passengers. JetJukebox basically acts as a local file server. Any file that a carry-on device can read can be served with JetJukebox. Business passengers can collaborate with documents such as PDF, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
