Jet Aviation appoints new FBO manager for Geneva and creates new position for FBO client relations in EMEA and Asia

Jet Aviation has appointed Joâo Pedro Pires Martins as the manager of the Jet Aviation Geneva FBO, succeeding Bernard Ratsira, who has been appointed director of FBO client relations for EMEA and Asia. Both appointments are effective March 1, 2014.

As the FBO manager, Martins will oversee the Jet Aviation Geneva FBO operation. He succeeds Bernard Ratsira, whose new role includes developing client relations and promoting customer service excellence in the EMEA and Asia region. Ratsira will also oversee staff training to ensure continual delivery of 5-star customer service throughout the network. Both Ratsira and Martins report to Monica Beusch, head of FBO services in EMEA and Asia.

Martins joins the company from VistaJet Group, where he served as head of global purchasing and logistics since 2011. Prior to that, he held a number of senior management positions with NetJets Europe for almost 11 years. He holds a degree in accounting and business administration from Lusófona University.

Ratsira has been with Jet Aviation for more than 30 years, directing operations in Geneva since 1988. As a key leader within Jet Aviation's FBO line of business, he was instrumental in establishing Jet Aviation's FBOs in Singapore (1995) and Dubai (2005), where he trained the local staff to the company's service standards. He will work with Martins in the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.

“I am very excited to embrace my new role with the company after so many years in operations,” says Ratsira. “We added three new FBO operations to our network in EMEA and Asia last year — in Berlin, Dubai DWC and Medina — and I am very pleased to draw on my experience to help ensure the integrity of our service standards throughout our expanding network.”

“We are fully committed to meeting or exceeding customer expectations and have made these appointments to ensure our uncompromising service levels as the company grows,” says Beusch. “In a business in which friendliness, convenience, time and discretion is paramount, I am confident that Joâo's customer-focus and operational experience coupled with Bernard's vast experience with the company and private handling is a winning combination for our FBO network.”
