Jet Aviation Basel signs narrow-body completions agreement for ACJ-A320

Jet Aviation Basel was recently awarded a vip cabin interior completions contract for a head-of-state ACJ- A320 aircraft. Configuration of the A320 includes a luxurious bedroom, bathroom, lounge and office area in addition to a large executive staff area. The vip aircraft will be delivered to the Basel completions center in the third quarter of 2014 and will be re-delivered to the client at the end of 2015.

“We have completed an aircraft for this client in the past and are delighted that they chose to return to us for this new project,” said Ruedi Kraft, vice president, market development & completions sales, Jet Aviation Basel. “The Jet Aviation Basel design studio is currently consulting with the customer to complete the detailed design by the end of the first quarter 2014. Our engineering and production teams will then collaborate with the design studio to ensure the aircraft is fully functional, certifiable and uniquely outfitted to the exact wishes of the owner.”

“Our aim is to meet all customer requirements in a timely manner while upholding the highest business aviation standards,” said Neil Boyle, Jet Aviation Basel's vice president of the completions center. “We are continuously investing in our employees, equipment and advanced aviation technology to support our capabilities. Having a client return to us is the highest testament to our ability to meet our commitments.”

Jet Aviation has been completing aircraft at its Basel completions center since 1977 and has created more than 200 cabin interiors. The company delivered two newly completed, highly customized Airbus 340s in 2012 and was awarded a new A340 completions contract in August last year. The Jet Aviation Basel Design Studio, which currently employs 12 designers, was established in 2001. The design studio's Timeless to Visionary design campaign won the coveted Visualization award in the Contract category at the 3rd annual Society of British and International Design (SBID) International Design Awards ceremony on November 29 2013. Over 400 entries had been submitted for 14 categories from 33 countries.
