Tecnam P2006T Twin joins Maltese flight training fleet

The Professional Aviation Training Academy Malta is celebrating its 10th anniversary by announcing a significant investment in upgrading its flight training offering. In addition to selecting Tecnam aircraft, with the introduction of both a Tecnam P2006T Twin and a Tecnam P92JS, it has also purchased a state of the art Alsim ALX FNPT 2 simulator.

The first Tecnam P2006T Twin on the Maltese register, 9H-PAT is based at Malta International Airport and will be jointly operated by the Professional Aviation Training Academy Malta for CPL, ME and IR training and by Malta Wings for sightseeing flights and air taxi services.

The Tecnam P92JS aircraft will have a multi-role within the group of companies. It will primarily be used by the Malta School of Flying (hence the registration 9H-MSF) for PPL training, hour building and aircraft hire, with Malta Wings utilising the aircraft for aerial photography and surveying.

“Both the Tecnam P92JS and P2006T will allow us to continue expanding and improving our flight training offering” said Patrick Fenech. md of the Professional Training Academy of Malta and Malta Wings. “We are very proud of these two additions to our fleet and we are now able to offer superb training packages which when coupled with the excellent weather that Malta offers result in significant cost reductions for our students”

”We have delivered over 150 Tecnam P2006T Next-Generation twins and with many more on order, we have now accelerated production to meet this unprecedented demand, resulting in our delivering a Tecnam P2006T every five days, firmly establishing Tecnam as the world's number one for light twin aircraft deliveries” said Paolo Pascale, Tecnam's managing director.
