Press Release
Issued by MT-Propeller .
December 12, 2013
MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has announced that it has received the EASA STC 10047226 for the next generation Quiet Fan Jet five-blade scimitar composite propeller MTV-27-1-E-C-F-R(P)/CFR203-58d on the PA-46-500TP. The FAA STC is in progress.
The propeller installation provides:
- Best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operations;
- Bonded on nickel alloy leading edge for best erosion protection of the blades;
- General performance improvement (10% shorter take-off distance, 4% better climb Performance, 3 kts faster in cruise);
- Approx. 3 lbs less weight than the original metal propeller;
- Cooler ITT on ground with condition lever at low and high idle position;
- No propeller speed restrictions on ground while operating in low idle, possibility to reduce Ng to 57% for better ground handling:
- More ground clearance ≠> less FODs;
- Significant cabin noise and vibration reduction;
All models comply with the strict German noise regulations 2010–"Landeplatz Lärmschutz Verordnung“ for unrestricted airport operations in Germany and other European countries.
The high technology natural composite blades have no life limitation and can be repaired even in case of a FOD.
MT-Propeller is the world leading natural composite propeller manufacturer with more than 30 propeller models from two-blade to six-blade hydraulically controlled variable pitch propeller, for engines producing up to 5000hp, and two-blade to four-blade electrically controlled variable pitch propeller, for engines producing up to 350hp as well as two blade fixed pitch propellers.
The high performance, light weight and durable MT-Propellers can be used on aircraft with piston engines and propeller turbines, as well as on airships, wind tunnels or hovercraft.
Fulfilling the highest certifications requirements they are also supplemental type certified on Part 25 aircrafts. There are no current Airworthiness Directives (AD).
MT-Propeller is holder of over 120 STCs worldwide and OEM supplier for more than 90% of the European aircraft industry as well as 30 % of the US Aircraft Industry with more than 15.000 propeller systems flying. In July 2013, the 50000th blade was shipped.
A factory certified service center network, provides best service and maintenance all over the world.
