Inaer France wins emergency medical services contract in Burgundy

Inaer France, part of the Avincis Group, a leading global provider of mission critical aerial services, has won the tender for the operation of emergency medical services (EMS) helicopters in Burgundy, France. A few months ago, Inaer won the EMS contract for the Provence Alp Cote D'Azur (PACA) region. These form part of the French Ministry of Health's new operational model of regional contracts.

The aerial service provider will supply three EC135 helicopters by early 2015 for hospitals in Auxerre, Djon and Chalon-sur-Saône. Inaer already operates in Auxerre and has had the contract renewed, whereas in Chalon a new base will be created. The helicopter in Dijon will be available 24 hours a day for missions throughout the region.

“Managing several bases on a regional level, as we will be doing in Provence and Burgundy, allows us to control costs and optimise resources of different hospitals to provide a better service,” said Frédéric Goig, ceo of Inaer France.

Inaer continues to grow its presence in the French EMS market. The company now operates eight Eurocopter EC135s and nine Agusta 109s and is committed to providing the best service to helicopter EMS clients.

EMS missions are very demanding and require a constant investment in flight safety and in improving equipment and performance. Inaer's modern fleet is therefore equipped with the latest technology, including autopilot. Inaer's helicopters are also equipped with night vision goggles (Inaer is the only civilian French company to hold the licensing for this).

Inaer's strategy is to invest in new technologies which improve operating and safety standards in order to provide the best service. The award of this contract demonstrates that Inaer offers a competitive, safe and operationally excellent service.
