FAI puts Learjet No. 10 in Service

German Air Ambulance specialist and Learjet operator FAI rent-a-jet AG (dba. FlightAmbulance-Intl.) announced its 3 rd fleet-extension this year after acquiring another Learjet 60, which totals FAI's Learjet-fleet to 10 aircraft (3 x LJ35A, 4x LJ55, 3 x LJ60). The LJ60 will become FAI's new flagship for MEDEVAC- Services.

"Size matters, especially for our clients form Middle East where the demand is high to carry at least 2 attendants together with patient and Med-Team. Another benefit compared to the LJ55 is the LJ60's APU which ensures a climate controlled cabin even on ground e.g. during fuel-stops. Also the 60's extended range compared with the 55's range guarantees to reach Glasgow from UAE with only one fuel-stop what the 55 does not allow at certain windconditions." Siegfried Axtmann, founder and CEO of FAI stated against EBAN-News. FAI's second MEDEVAC-LJ60 is now based at Athens Intl. Airport, allowing non-stop turnaround ambulance flights from Middle East to Germany and the UK, while FAI's third LJ60 is operating out of Nuernberg, Germany in Executive Transport only. FAI furthermore will start operating a MEDEVAC-CL604 before end of 2008, to cover the demand for widebody-operations from its current clients.
