INAER Spain to operate firefighting services in Extremadura

INAER Spain, global leader in emergency services, has been awarded a new contract to operate aerial firefighting services in the region of Extremadura after the local government issued a public tender. The company will provide fire fighting, surveillance and coordination services.

Under the terms of the new contract, INAER Spain will operate nine helicopters, including a coordinating aircraft as well as a Kamov helicopter based in Manchita (Badajoz). The remaining aircraft will be based at Herrera del Duque and Calera de León in the province of Badajoz and Jarandilla de la Vera, Guadalupe, Hoyos, Serradilla and Valencia de Alcántara in the province of Cáceres. In recent years, the government of Extremadura has been building new bases for the aircraft which include state-of-the-art infrastructure.

INAER Spain has provided firefighting services in Extremadura for the past 20 years.
