Ahead of this year's Dubai Air Show AMAC Aerospace, a leading provider of corporate aviation maintenance and completion services, has announced it has successfully completed and re-delivered its second BBJ 777-300ER (Extended Range) to a private customer in the Middle East. The scope of work, which took place in its dedicated state-of-the-art wide body hangar at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, consisted of a full maintenance C-check and interior modifications, as part of the turnkey services program the Switzerland-based aerospace business offers. 
The customer took delivery of the completed aircraft from AMAC's Switzerland-based facility based following a completion process of 18 months. The interior spaces include a newly integrated master bedroom, master en-suite, majlis (private seating area) and mid-cabin spaces with vvip features and high quality materials. Technical highlights achieved in the completion project include the first installation of the Honeywell Cabin Management System (CMS) 'Ovation', Mood lighting in dome ceilings (red, green, blue - RGB), Panasonic KU-Band Global Communication Suite (GCS) system installed with EXPhone as well as other high-end communication installations and in-flight entertainment options. 
The customer accepted the aircraft following a successful test flight program before final handover, which included a smooth return flight to London before heading to its final base in the Middle East.

All the engineers and mechanics worked hard to see this project through and are delighted with the achievement and final results,” said Bernd Schramm, AMAC Group chief operating officer. “This is our second wide body project to date, again delivered on time and within budget, and AMAC Aerospace aims to continue to grow its intellectual and human capital to master new industry features”.
The company continues to encourage aircraft owners and operators to consider its full range of expertise and craftsmanship when selecting a partner for refurbishment and maintenance options. AMAC Aerospace has also recently redelivered an Airbus A340 to a Middle Eastern client and is currently completing a 747-8i also destined for the same region. 
AMAC formally inaugurated its third maintenance and completion hangar for wide-body aircraft at its EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg headquarters in September 2012. The opening of the new state-of-the-art 90,420sqft (8'400m2) hangar and production facility has been the catalyst for the company's entrée into providing maintenance for wide-bodied aircraft, leaving the other large hanger to concentrate solely on completions.
The company continues to perform all major inspections including repairs and modifications, delivery of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Customer Bulletins (CB), Service Bulletins (SB) and Airworthiness directives (AD), avionic repairs, upgrades and other installation undertakings, adding to the company's extensive maintenance service capabilities.
