Barfield adds WiFi enabled remote control to new generation of automated RVSM Air Data test equipment

Barfield, a Sabena technics company, will introduce the new WiFi enabled remote control feature added to its RVSM Air Data test sets at the 2013 NBAA (National Business Aviation Association) Annual Meeting & Convention in Las Vegas.

Last year, Barfield introduced its new fully automated and RVSM compliant (Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum) Air Data test set, model DPS1000, coming as a replacement of the successful but manually operated flight line tester model DPS350. This year, in addition to its fully automated operation, its user-friendly interface with color touch screen and its customer programmable test routines, Barfield is proud to present the fourth upgraded and innovative feature of its DPS1000: a WiFi enabled remote control via tablet or iPad.

The upgraded product is displayed on booth #N2411 during the NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Barfield is a premier Ground Support Test Equipment manufacturer and has earned its superior reputation by producing highly-reliable, user-friendly test equipment at competitive market prices for over 65 years. Its well-known product lines include Air Data (RVSM), Pitot Static, Fuel quantity, Turbine Temperature, Pressure and Cable Tension testing.

“I am proud of Barfield's Ground Support Test Equipment division's accomplishments. I am highly convinced that the innovations, including the DPS1000, will strengthen Barfield's commitment to providing the industry with leading equipment,” said Frederic Denise, chief executive officer of Barfield.
