Internationally renowned for their high levels of in-flight customer service, Twinjet Aviation has gone above and beyond by offering passengers on Twinjet's G-NMAK the services of an on board chef during a recent trip to Bulgaria.
In a rare move for guests on a private charter flight, a senior chef from High Flying Food, Darren Searles, joined the cabin services crew to help prepare the special in flight menu. Twinjet work regularly with High Flying Food and as both companies strive to ensure the highest standards of food preparation at every stage of service, Darren was invited on board to join the crew so see the service from the other side.
Darren comments “It was an amazing experience, not only having the privilege of flying in the jet but more importantly to see what happens to our food when it leaves the kitchen. To watch the flight attendants at work, gave me a new understanding of the challenges they face working in a confined area with limited time. It was a real eye-opener and my time on the aircraft has aided me considerably in my approach to my work”.
Craig Sharp, managing director of High Flying Food adds, “I was delighted when Twinjet discussed this opportunity with me. As a company we pride ourselves in our customers service levels, from the initial order and the preparation of food right through to the point of delivery. The final and most important part we are not involved in, which is the service delivery to the passengers. For Darren to obtain in-flight knowledge via this wonderful experience has up skilled not only Darren but the rest of the team through his detailed feedback of the day.”
Twinjet Aviation and High Flying Food are looking forward to offering this service to future clients.
