BACA, the world's largest network for the air charter market, held its annual awards ceremony at the London Guildhall today with a record number of votes cast online for the first time.

The Baltic Air Charter Association Excellence Awards Lunch was supported by Air Charter Services and CASCO this year and the votes came from more than 70 percent of the association's members.

The winners were:

- Best Passenger Charter Airline: Titan Airways

- Best Cargo Charter Airline: Jota Aviation

- Best General Aviation Operator: London Executive Aviation

- Best Handling Agent/FBO: Eurojet Birmingham

- BACA Global Excellence Award: Avinode

- BACA Humanitarian Award: Air Charter Scotland

Tony Coe, BACA chairman, was delighted with the record turnout at the lunch and paid tribute to the dedication of BACA members in what has been a busy six months since the last association lunch.

“Our new website is just about to go online and we are continuing our discussions with HMRC about the Tour Operator Margin Scheme, as well as keeping an eye on the subject of broker accreditation,” he told the audience.

“These are topics BACA is dealing with on an ongoing basis but today is all about rewarding the excellence of our members and I am delighted we have received so many votes using the new online system.

“Our members continue to provide the highest standards in the air charter market and the winners of each award, as well as those shortlisted, should be rightly proud of their services.”

BACA is the world's largest network for the air charter market, respected for promoting the highest standards of professionalism in air broking. Members include air charter brokers, airports, airlines, business aircraft operators, handling agents, aviation lawyers and consultants.
