Extant Components Group Holdings, Inc., a leader in licensing, obsolescence management, and sustainment services for mature aerospace electronics and avionics products, today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Symetrics Industries, had been certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) as an approved Part 145 maintenance organization. Headquartered in Melbourne, FL, Symetrics manufactures and repairs complex electronics and avionics assemblies for military, commercial, business and general aviation operators and OEMs. The company's product portfolio features a range of communication, control, sensing, imagery, and display systems and LRUs. Symetrics is also approved under 14 CFR Part 21 and Part 145, AS 9100 Revision C, and ISO 9001:2008 and its facilities are ITAR registered and compliant. Extant chief executive officer (ceo) Jim Gerwien said, “We are very pleased and proud for Symetrics to be recognized by EASA as a Part 145 approved organization.
