FAI expects another record year

German operator and air ambulance specialist FAI rent-a-jet AG has increased its revenues in first semester of 2013 by around 10 % on 2012 to more than €35 m (US$47 m), and anticipates a yearly turnover of more than €70 m (US$92 m). The increase is driven by the ambulance sector and by public services for NGOs in crisis areas, where currently six aircraft are operating out of FAI ́s bases in Afghanistan, Sudan, Ivory Coast, Mali and Senegal. FAI ́s dedicated fleet of ambulance jets consists of two Challenger 604, two Learjet 60, two Learjet 55 and two Learjet 35. With revenues generated by the air ambulance sector of more than €30 m alone this year, FAI is strengthening its market leadership for patient transport by ambulance jet in Europe. FAI ́s vip charter fleet consists of three Global Express, one Falcon 7X, one CRJ 200 and one Challenger 604. FAI ́s developing project hangar 7, which will add another 3,000 sqm of hangar space to FAI ́s FBO at Nuremberg International Airport is scheduled to be completed by end of this year. FAI currently employs a staff of 200 people from 18 different nations and operate and maintains a fleet of 21 aircraft. 14 aircraft are owned by FAI, three are leased and four are managed and operated on behalf of corporate clients.
