CEPA announces results of ground-breaking research and will provide details to delegates at 2013 expo

The organisers of the fourth CEPA (Central European Private Aviation) Expo have announced today that delegates attending the event will all receive the results of some unique research that was undertaken to find out the private aircraft preferences and desires of the ultra-high net worth individual (UHNWI) in central and eastern Europe.

The event that is being held on the 26-28 November at the Prague Conference Centre, will bring delegates and partners from all parts of the industry who want to enhance business and network in the CEE region. The research findings will add to the expert knowledge passed on at the Expo and provide a valuable insight into one of the most sought after markets in this emerging economy.

Founder of CEPA, Dagmar Grossmann, conducted the research. Mrs Grossmann said “Everybody wants to find the driver of this market and how to reach the UHNWI, so, by using the contacts I have made over the years we directly interviewed around 100 people to analyse what the factors are that make people decide on an aircraft and under what circumstances a particular purchase can be influenced. We wanted to get to the real UHNWI, the purchaser, and we discovered that price was not the overriding factor in the decision making process, the manufacturer of the aircraft has a huge influence and that one person alone makes the decision”.

As well as benefiting from the findings of this research delegates will, for the first time, be able to take part in discussions and panels focusing on the cooperation between commercial and private airlines. The organisers of the event have added a day onto the traditional programme to focus on this area. Commenting of the decision to connect the two sectors of aviation at the expo, the 2013 CEPA chairman, Philippe Liénard said “The aim of CEPA is the convergence of East and West and to serve the CEPA ambition of connecting aviation professionals. It is important to involve both commercial and private aviation in this and, as central Europe is the growing region of Europe, it was important that we add this extra day to the programme. We have invited key influencers in the industry who explore both sectors successfully and will talk about the synergy between the two. There is a lot commercial airlines can offer to business jet operators and vice versa”.

One of the panels will also discuss the synergies of business aviation and airlines and the issues that are shared between the sectors such as ATC, border control and taxes.
