Merger with AEP strengthens CFS Aero's 'centre of engineering excellence'

CFS Aeroproducts Ltd, a leading aircraft component repair and overhaul facility, is delighted to announce that it has merged with AEP (Aero Engineering & Powerplant Ltd). Under the terms of the agreement, AEP's plant and equipment has been moved from its Wokingham plant to CFS Aero's factory in Coventry.

When CFS Aeroproducts Ltd was bought by a new team of investors, the company has both modernised its factory and successfully recruited a world-class team of engineers. EASA and FAA approved, CFS Aero specialises in the repair and overhaul of both modern and classic aircraft engines, propellers, landing gear and instruments including non-destructive testing to Level 3. Now, following the merger with AEP, the company has significantly increased its capabilities, particularly in the area of supporting Lycoming & Continental engines and accessories, including fuel systems, turbo charger components & propeller governors.

David Newhouse, ceo of CFS Aero, commented: “By further enhancing the capabilities we had already developed, the merger with AEP will enable us to deliver an even higher level of customer service. When it comes to supporting aircraft operators, from private pilots to regional airlines, CFS Aero will now be firmly in the forefront.”

Neil Andrews, former owner of AEP and now engineering director of CFS Aero added: “As a result of this merger, our combined skills and equipment will ensure we have a genuine centre of engineering excellence in the UK.”
