Press Release
Issued by DC Aviation.
May 22, 2008
As Germany's major provider of private jets, DC Aviation announces at EBACE - together with their charter Brokerage Partner, Premier Aviation - that Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band will charter DC Aviation's Airbus 319 CJ for a transatlantic charter from the USA to Europe in June. Premier Aviation and their partner Airworks Inc. signed a charter contract for a transatlantic flight from Newark, New Jersey, to Cardiff, U.K., further to Cologne, Germany at EBACE on Wednesday 21 May. Premier Aviation & Airworks, well known charter brokerage partner companies specialising in music business clients, will continue the band's tour on an Airbus 319CJ throughout Europe during June and July. In the future DC Aviation and Premier Aviation are planning to strengthen their partnership for further engagement.
The Airbus 319 CJ was chosen, because with its 48 seat configuration it is the ideal aircraft for bands and sport teams. The company's first own Airbus 319 CJ was previously in operation for the Daimler corporation and is offered exclusively by DC Aviation for the executive charter market. Apart from comfortable business seating and generous seat pitch of 152 cm, the jet excels especially when it comes to long haul flights, with its maximum cruising range of up to 8000 km/4320 nm. Four additional tanks make it possible for the Execuliner to fly nonstop in 9_ hours, for instance from London to Chicago or from Munich to Bangalore.
Three more Airbus of type 319 CJ, fitted to take up to 22 VIPs, will be added to the fleet over the next twelve months and will most likely be operated in Europe and the Middle East.
With its fleet of 28 jets, and twelve further arrivals in 2008, the branch's major player, which originated from what used to be DaimlerChrysler Aviation and Cirrus Aviation, will thus become the largest operator of this type of aircraft in the German business aviation market.
