Press Release
Issued by CEPA (Central Europe Private Aviation).
June 11, 2013
Central Europe Private Aviation organisation (CEPA) has announced that it will be adding to its unique expo in 2013 by featuring a commercial aviation focused day alongside that of the two day private aviation programme currently in place.
The expo, which will take place on 26th – 28th November in Prague, is in its fourth year and has previously featured panels, guest speakers, topics and delegates from the private aviation sector only. This year, professionals from the commercial aviation world will be invited to the final day of the conference, with additional discussion panels and workshops entirely dedicated to their part of the industry with a special focus on Central and Eastern Europe.
Commenting of the decision to connect the two sectors of aviation at the expo, the new CEPA chairman, Philippe Lienard said “The aim of CEPA is the convergence of East and West and to serve the CEPA ambition of connecting aviation professionals. We believe it is important to involve both commercial and private aviation in this and, as Central Europe is the growing region of Europe, it was fitting that we add this extra day to the programme. We have invited pioneers in the industry who explore both sectors successfully and will talk about the synergy between the two. We feel there is a lot commercial airlines can offer to business jet operators and vice versa”.
Discussing other elements that differentiates the CEPA expo from other industry conferences Mr Lienard said “People who attended in previous years will recall the introduction of our industry leading, high-tech system for messaging between the audience and panellists that we designed especially for the conference – it is fast, easy and fun to use. We are also involving EU and government´s officials, regulators and legislators in the CEE region, in order to create a dialogue between them and the aviation industry professionals operating in the region. Ultimately we want to present them with suggestions for improving flexibility and transparency to enable them to do business in this part of the world and to lobby for more prioritisation and focus on aviation as an economic driver in the CEE.”
Mr Lienard added “Large exhibitions and static displays are already served by other conferences throughout the year, however, we do offer limited exhibition space for rent and give ample areas to sponsors, which they can customise according to their brand. We have designed the sponsorships in such a way that only a handful will enjoy significant exposure. We believe delegates will come to the expo for the conference, its speakers and the like-minded people they will meet, not to mention visiting the beautiful city of Prague and seeing what it has to offer”.
