Bill Schillhammer, who joined Avidyne in 2005 in OEM Sales, has been promoted to the position of Director of International Sales. In his new role, Schillhammer will be responsible for overseeing the strategic focus and growth of Avidyne's international presence. His appointment was announced by Rob Higby, Avidyne's Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

"Bill has a strong grasp of both our products and the international marketplace. His contributions to the establishment of Avidyne-Europe and his leadership in working with DAC International to facilitate aftermarket sales in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Pacific Rim made it obvious that he is an ideal choice to lead our international sales efforts," Higby said.

Prior to joining Avidyne, Schillhammer held leadership roles in high-technology display semiconductor and product sales for more than a decade. Immediately before he came to Avidyne, he served as the Vice President of Sales for FOCUS Enhancements where he initiated and led its global Semiconductor sales efforts. Previously, he was with Intel Corporation where he was recognized as the top domestic sales person and number one US applications engineer. An instrument rated pilot, Civil Air Patrol Incident Commander and Mission Pilot, he graduated from Dartmouth College and Thayer School of Engineering.
