TAG Farnborough Airport announces plans for new facilities

TAG Farnborough Airport has announced plans for new facilities, including additional premium office space and a customer-dedicated second entrance to the airport, on the first day of the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) 2013, which is being held at PALEXPO in Geneva, Switzerland, from 21-23 May 2013.

The announcement follows the recent purchase of 1 Meadow Gate, a 38,000 sq ft office building and associated land, which is located on the airport's north-east boundary.

TAG Farnborough Airport plans to refit 1 Meadow Gate to its specifications and will offer premium office space to prospective tenants and airport employees. It proposes to bring the building within the airport boundary and introduce a second entrance to the site, subject to planning agreement, to be used exclusively by customers, enabling even faster access to and from the airport. This will also create space in the terminal for additional passenger lounges and enhanced facilities, with further details to be announced later in the year.

“We are committed to identifying ways to better serve our customers and employees and as a growing airport, we need to plan for the future,” said Brandon O'Reilly, ceo of TAG Farnborough Airport. “With our proposed improvements we will continue to offer a seamless service as demand increases and maintain our position as the leading business aviation gateway to London.”

Following the completion of more than £100 million investment in state-of-the-art infrastructure in 2012, TAG Farnborough Airport has continued to introduce improvements for customers. It worked with Border Force during last summer's Olympics to become one of the first airports to introduce a 'drive-through' passport control service, which continues to be offered following its success in reducing potential waiting times for customers during busy periods.

Named 'International FBO of the Year' by readers of Aviation International News (AIN) magazine for seven consecutive years and 'Best European FBO' by Pro Pilot magazine's readers for eight years-in-a-row, the airport offers a wide range of services. These include direct ramp access, concierge service, a crew room with 'snooze' facilities, The Aviator hotel (also part of the TAG Group) located on-site as well as aircraft maintenance and servicing from TAG Farnborough Engineering.

EBACE 2013 is being held at PALEXPO in Geneva, Switzerland, 21-23 May 2013. The TAG family of business aviation companies - comprising TAG Farnborough Airport, TAG Aviation, and TAG Aeronautics - is exhibiting at Stand #344, Hall 6.
