iECHO GPA™ app for iPad goes from strength to strength

Since the launch of the iECHO GPA™ application for iPad® Jet-Care has received in excess of 50,000 engine trend data sets via the app.

With the ever increasing use of the iPad as an electronic flight bag (EFB) the iECHO GPA app has become an invaluable tool for pilots, enabling them to gather engine data during steady state cruise and, once a network connection is made, send directly to Jet-Care for processing and evaluation. Receiving data on a flight by flight basis rather than waiting for the electronic data download to be made and submitted also enables Jet-Care to notify any trend changes in a timely manner.

“With the launch of iECHO GPA we have been able to provide a much simpler and more effective way for our customers to submit data quickly and easily, without using paper trend sheets” said Alan Baker, sales & marketing manager, Jet-Care. “The success of the app is evident with over 50,000 sets of data being submitted and a continued increase in the number of operators moving from paper trend sheets to sending data by iECHO GPA.”

The Jet-Care engine condition trend monitoring service by Gas Path Analysis (GPA) is the tried and tested system for performance monitoring and targets the detection of engine core deterioration and associated faults by continuously monitoring and trending the engine data. Significant changes to the trends are identified and a prompt alert sent to the operator. The results enable operators to identify problems before they become apparent and in turn save money through avoiding major overhauls and unplanned maintenance.

The iECHO GPA application is available to download free from the App Store.
