328 Support Services GmbH will host its second Dornier 328 Operators Conference in the sunny Balearic Isle of Palma, Mallorca during June 3-5 at the Hotel Melia Palas Atenea. To date, some 22 customers, including IceJet and Cirrus have registered for this three-day event – to listen to all major systems and component suppliers, plus Dornier 328 maintenance companies, including 328SG sister company Jet Engineering Technical Support (JETS).
The agenda will highlight a range of topics, reflecting the progress that has been achieved since the last conference in Munich in December 2006. Chief Executive Dave Jackson will open the event with a general overview. Head of Customer Support Bernhard Schuster will highlight enhancements and improvements in this important arena and there will be vendor contributions from companies including Pratt & Whitney Canada, Meggitt and Honeywell. On day three Thales, Messier-Dowty and Hartzell will update the operators on their products and services.
328 Support Services will highlight its ongoing work in cabin refurbishment and VIP conversations. It is currently working on two 328 jets at its Oberpfaffenhofen Airport, near Munich hangar facilities.
As of 1 May, the 156-strong Dornier 328 worldwide fleet has accumulated a total of 2.76 million hours and 2.78 million landings. Currently there are 58 328 turboprops flying in Europe, complemented by 34 in North and South America. Some 34 328 jets are currently flying in the USA; 30 in Europe and 29 in Asia.
