Alison Price On Air appoints Jamie Cairns to head chef position

Executive jet in-flight experience provider Alison Price On Air has appointed Jamie Cairns to the role of head chef with immediate effect. Jamie brings a wealth of experience to the expanding aviation catering business having worked as head chef of Rhubarb a leading high-end events caterer. In his new role, Jamie will work closely with the company's managing director, Daniel Hulme to support the increasing business activity at the in-flight dining provider.

Jamie will head a seven-strong team at Alison Price On Air with responsibility for menu design, staffing and the financial management of the kitchen. A qualified chef for over 23 years, Jamie most recently served as executive chef, at St Pauls Cathedral where he was responsible for successfully running the fine dining restaurants and events at the venue. Over the course of his culinary career, Jamie has demonstrated a flair for growing highly effective teams with an emphasis on developing staff through training and is adept at managing kitchen finance including maintaining an all-important tight budget. During his four year long tenure as head chef at Rhubarb's main kitchen in London, Jamie was responsible for developing an extensive and impressive portfolio of weddings, exclusive family parties and corporate events, growing the team fourfold and generating a significant increase in the company's turnover. In addition, Jamie spearheaded the development of Rhubarb's new restaurant at London Heathrow's terminal 5.
