Air charter and management specialists Jota Aviation have further expanded their operating range after taking commercial control of a Beech Super King Air 300 in partnership with Danish Air Transport (DAT).
The luxury business aircraft allows Jota Aviation to operate flights carrying up to eight passengers and increases its potential reach to include locations in Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
All profits made from the new craft during Red Nose Day (Friday 15 March) will be donated to Comic Relief as part of a group-wide fundraising effort from Jota. Appropriately, the King Air features a distinctive red 'nose' section, making it the ideal plane for this charitable assignment.
Renowned for its robust performance and reliability, the King Air 300 carries more passengers further and faster than its sister 200 craft. With a 320Kt cruise capability its flight times are comparable to those of VLJs, with Biggin Hill to Nice possible in just over two hours.
Beautifully refurbished throughout in 2012 for uncompromised comfort and safety, the craft will initially be based at London Southend Airport. It joins one of Jota Aviation's own King Airs at the site as well as further examples located at Newcastle and Liverpool airports. Jota Aviation now operates six King Airs, all based at 24-hour facilities.
The newly forged partnership with DAT sees Jota Aviation take control of marketing, bookings and logistical requirements for the aircraft, while DAT will maintain ownership as well as providing flight crew and operational oversight.
Jota Aviation's passenger and freight aircraft operate throughout Europe, providing clients the benefits of a rapid response service from an expert team both in the air and on the ground. First established to meet the needs of Jota's burgeoning professional racing team and the motor sport sector, it has since grown to become a successful and industry-renowned enterprise in its own right.
Andy Green, Jota Aviation commercial director: "Jota Aviation is delighted to announce our partnership with DAT and the addition of a King Air 300. I am certain that this link-up will be beneficial for both parties and I look forward to working alongside DAT. What's more, I am extremely pleased that we will be able to expand our operating range, further strengthening Jota Aviation's status as the charter and management specialists of choice for both passenger and freight requirements."
