Spectro and Jet-Care appointed by AgustaWestland as approved suppliers for oil and debris analysis

Spectro, and its associated company Jet-Care, the leaders in equipment condition monitoring services for the aviation industry, today announced their appointment by AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica Company, as approved suppliers for debris and oil analysis services for all AW139 helicopters.

'We chose Spectro and Jet-Care to assist in further improving our technical services for the AW139 as we can trust their fast, efficient and accurate service", said Riccardo Del Duca, AW139 product support engineering manager. "Their many years of experience in this specialised field and their commitment to quality and customer service are second to none".

Spectro and Jet-Care utilise the advanced analytical capabilities of Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) for in-depth examination of debris recovered from oil samples, filters or chip detectors. It allows detailed investigation into the characterisation of the particle size and composition of metallic and non-metallic debris, therefore helping to pinpoint the components responsible for the debris.

Details of the appointment have been released by AgustaWestland in their Information Letter AW139-13-046.
