Press Release
Issued by Rolls-Royce North America.
March 4, 2013
Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, has developed a new, free smart phone application to provide easier access for M250 customers to information about the FIRST network.
The M250 FIRST network consists of 29 full-service engine and component repair and overhaul (R&O) facilities. It offers full-capability R&O support to more than 4,000 customers of M250 turboshaft and turboprop engines around the world.
The new app, which will operate on multiple smart phone platforms, will provide detailed information on where to find service within the FIRST network. The new app can be downloaded to various smart phones by using a QR code (see below). Once downloaded to the phone, it does not require wireless internet service to operate. The program will work on iPhones and Android models.
Greg Fedele, Rolls-Royce, senior vice president, helicopters, said, "Whether it's a new engine improvement or enhanced access to information, Rolls-Royce is always looking for innovative ways to support customers. This new app will allow M250 users to maintain all the information they need to find service right on their smart phone, eliminating the need to carry or store a booklet with that information."
