AMAC Aerospace formally awarded UAE CAMO approval

AMAC Aerospace is pleased to announce it has been awarded its approval certificate for Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) for its Basel, Switzerland facility from the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). This enables AMAC to commence full CAMO services on all UAE registered aircraft. AMAC can keep track and supervise all necessary maintenance checks, follow up on and implement regulatory requirements, including regular airworthiness reviews for UAE third party customers.

"AMAC is committed to exceeding the expectations of an especially demanding clientele and we are proud to be only the second company outside the UAE to be granted such status," said Bernd Schramm, AMAC Aerospace Group chief operating officer.

VIP completions and maintenance specialist AMAC Aerospace is making strong strides with its plans to expand into wide-bodied aircraft maintenance. In addition to its already strong maintenance services on A318/A319/A320/A321 series, B737 classic & new generation BBJ1/2/3, MD 80 series, Gulfstream large cabin and Bombardier GLX, it gained Part 145 approval for the B747-400 and B747-8 series last September, in parallel with the opening of its third (wide-bodied) hangar at its EuroAirport Basel HQ, complementing their heavy large cabin base maintenance approvals on the B777, Airbus A330 and A340 series.

AMAC Aerospace engineers can perform all major inspections including repairs and modifications, perform Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Customer Bulletins (CB) Service Bulletins (SB) and Airworthiness directive (AD). In parallel they offer full aircraft interior completion, avionic repairs, system upgrades, entire cabin refurbishments and other installation undertakings.
