Russian Helicopters, part of state defence holding Oboronprom and a leading global designer and manufacturer of helicopters, announces that it participated in the fifth Helicopter Forum held on 7 December 2012 by the Helicopter Industry Association at the Moscow Aviation Institute Palace of Culture in Moscow.
The forum focused on systemic issues affecting the growth of the helicopter industry in Russia. Russian Helicopters and helicopter operating companies were joined by aviation industry representatives for a series of presentations and discussions about the prospects for the national helicopter fleet:
Russian Helicopters focuses on supporting the current helicopter fleet by monitoring the operating characteristics of each helicopter. One presentation touched on the issue of helicopter designers providing operational support, and also policies for increasing helicopter resources. Speakers from the Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and the Kamov Design Bureau gave presentations on extending the operating lives of individual models, new operating regulations, and opportunities for helicopter flight crews to provide timely technical support and maintenance.
The Helicopter Forum brings together the helicopter industry to develop advisory solutions aimed at growing the sector and the Russian economy as a whole. Russian Helicopters maintains constant dialogue with partners, clients and helicopter operating companies, and is a regular participant in Helicopter Forums and other industry conferences.
