Press Release
Issued by Honeywell Aerospace.
December 11, 2012
Honeywell Aerospace has launched an Auxiliary Power Unit Maintenance Plan (AMP) for Boeing Business Jets (BBJ). In light of spiraling fuel prices and other uncontrollable costs, business jet operators are seeking ways to manage their ongoing operational costs with greater ease. Honeywell's AMP plan makes Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) servicing costs more manageable and affordable through long-term planning.
AMP provides BBJ operators with comprehensive and cost-effective global service and repair coverage for Honeywell's 131-9B APU, standard on B737 600/700/800 and 900 series aircraft, including those in BBJ configuration.
· BBJ operators are able to more accurately budget for unscheduled maintenance, reduce grounding time and extend the resale value of their aircraft by transferring AMP to a new owner at the point of sale.
· AMP's extended coverage includes complete costs for on-condition unscheduled heavy maintenance such as inspection, life-cycle-limited parts and labor, as well as special AMP rates for temporary rental units from Honeywell's APU bank. It also covers APU modernization programs, including both Alert and Recommended Service Bulletins, to give BBJ operators complete peace of mind.
· The 60-month rolling AMP contract includes APU servicing at one of four dedicated Honeywell service centers strategically located around the world in Germany, Singapore, China and the United States.
With high business jet air traffic, the Middle East is a core region for Honeywell's business aviation portfolio, and Honeywell is showcasing its capabilities at MEBA 2012, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from Dec. 11– 13, at booth No. 625.
